Review: Shiseido Lash Expander (Frame Plus) Mascara ♥

I got to this review quicker than I planned. But here it is the oh-so-raved Shiseido Lash Expander Mascara.
I purchased this from Ebay for $15 i was on the lookout for a good mascara at the time and i saw many youtube reviews so i ended up following the crowd. This was my holy grail mascara for a good 3 months but now i'm on the lookout for a new mascara to test out.

You can't help but fall for the packaging.

No application, One coat, Two coats

As you can see adding the second coat made my eyelashes lengthen as well made it look darker. Usually i just apply one coat and i'm out the door. It's enough to make my eyes pop a little.

What I love:
It's waterproof & Smudge proof ( stays on all day for me)
The packaging is really cute
The applicator is really unique. The bottom separates the eyelashes while the top lengthens
Affordable price

What not so great:
):  Difficult to remove
):  When applied the mascara smudges a bit on my eyelid ( that might be my fault since i blink right after)
This is a short review of my take since there's alot of other reviews. But this mascara does it's job but after using this for several months already i want to try other Asian brand mascaras. What's your HG mascara?

Review: Avene Thermal Spring Water

*Hey guys! I'm back with another review.. been awhile i know but there will be more reviews this month!

While i was scrolling around Shoppers I found the Avene thermal spring water on sale. I saw many post reviews on this bottle awhile back and i was meaning to get it but the price was a bit too much for me for a can of water. But this bottle was on sale for only $15 plus attached was a $5 rebate coupon so in total I ended up purchasing this for $10 half it's original price. That's a pretty good deal.
The bottle contains 300 ml

Let's start of saying this bottle is HUGEEE. So i probably will be using this for a while till it runs out. After reading the ingredients ( Water & Nitrogen) i kind of regretted paying $10 for a can of water.. but after many uses of it i'm really happy i got it. The description indicates that its for sunburns, facial redness, irritations and such but i use it as a toner. I have acne-prone and sensitive skin so many products end up not working for me but this product didn't cause any irritations whatsoever. I use this after washing my face with oatmeal everyday and it has helped me out alot. After 2 weeks of constant use i can tell that my skin appreciates the extra soak of water and makes me feel refreshed every morning. I can't say if it helped with controlling my acne but it makes my skin feel more alive and bright.

Overall:

Appearance:10/10

The appearance is very simple and the packaging is great.

Pros:
--> It sprays into a very fine mist which makes the product go on evenly. I love to use this after applying my makeup it helps my makeup blend into my skin

--> No Odor
--> Gives a Refreshing feeling and makes my skin look more brighter
--> Has many different uses ( Sunburns, razor burns, redness, hair removal, etc)
--> Its for sensitive skin so it doesn't cause any irritations
--> I have oily to sensitive skin so it has helped my oil control

Cons:
--> Pricey ( $21 for a botttle)

Would I repurchase this?
Yes. I absolutely love this product and i'm so glad picking it up. It makes me feel refreshed after every use and when school starts it's going to help me wake up even more. Although the bottle is more on the pricey range Avene products do tend to regularly go on sale so i'll definitely purchase this again when i run out. I recommend this product to people with Dry or sensitive skin, your skin will thank you.

Thanks for reading my post, Bye!

Sincerely,

Review: NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colors Lipstick

As you can tell by the title today i'm going to be doing a review on these NYX lipsticks. I currently own 3 from this collection and let me just say they are smacking fun. Let's get started into the review ~

Left to right: Tea Rose, Indian Pink, and Georgia

Swatches from top to bottom: Tea Rose, Indian Pink, and Georgia

I'd like to start of saying these lipsticks are really creamy. They glide on really easy and there more of a buttery feel. Kinda reminds me of the Revlon Lip Butters but with more pigment.

This is the shade " Tea Rose" it's a beautiful mauve pink, reminds me of spring flowers. This is my favorite color out of the three, it's a my lips but better. This color matches my lips perfectly and goes well with any makeup look. This color goes on super creamy and lasts for 2-3 hours. This doesn't dry your lips at all but i would recommend applying a lip balm under this.

This is the shade " Indian Pink" it's more on the light pink with gold in it making it look somewhat on the orange tones. This lipstick does contain large amounts of shimmer but when you apply it the shimmers aren't noticeable, instead you get a light wash of salmon pink. Like the other three lipsticks it goes on really creamy but i feel this color lasts less than tea rose lasting only an hour or two. I feel like this color is more drying for my lips so do put on lip balm before. I find this color compliments more paler complexions as it doesn't look very good on me.  But if your going for a nude lipstick with just a hint of color than i recommend this color.

This is the shade " Georgia" the picture does the color no justice as it looks more of a light purple. But in real life it's just the lightest shade of baby pink. It does contain hints of shimmer but again it's not noticeable on the lips. I find this color less creamy than the other two colors as lasts as long as Indian Pink. This color would compliment pale to the more darker complexions well.

Overall:
Appearance: 8/10
The packaging is simple black with the shade showing at the bottom which is great when your in a rush. I find the lid kind of loose.

Pros:
---> Texture is more on buttery side so it feels light on your lips and creates easy application---> Packaging shows the color shade on the bottom which is more convenient---> Small and travel friendly---> No odor
---> Really affordable you can find this on ebay around $3
---> Easy to remove and doesn't leave a lip stain (unless you apply many coats)

Cons:
---> Lasting power isn't very long ranges around 1-3 hours---> Lid is kinda loose
Would I repurchase this?
This lipstick does function as what it says but I don't feel anything "special" about it. It's pretty hard to find in stores so a dupe would be the Revlon Lip butters. I'm happy with this lipstick but I could find a similar one near my area whereas buying it online so i wouldn't repurchase this again.

Review: Etude House tear drop liner

Hey guys, today i'm going to review the Etude House tear drop liner. Let's start~

I got this off of Ebay in the shade white tear. I had this product for 2 weeks now and I can say i'm pretty satisfied with it. The color turns out really sheer with hints of white sparkles, which is applied in the inner tear ducts and gives a " teary" eye look so if you wanna go for the youthful look then I highly recommend this. I didn't do any swatches as my camera couldn't pick it up, but I use it every time I go out and it brightens my eyes. I just pair this with a simple eyeliner and few coats of mascara and i'm headed out the door. Something about the sparkles reminds me of the look Taeyeon and other kpop celebrities always wear.
Size comparison
The applicator itself is quite unusually long so it's not very travel friendly but it does make it easier to apply.

Overall:

Appearance: 9/10
Pros:
---> The color turns out sheer so it gives a more natural look
---> The consistency is more of a watery than creamy type,
which makes it easier to blend out
---> Doesn't have any odor
---> Gives the brightening and dolly effect
---> Does what it says
---> Price wise it's affordable varies around $7-8 on ebay

Cons:
---> The glitter tends to smudge easily so it leaves sparkles sitting on your eyebags
---> The lasting power isn't that great i'd have to say around 2-3 hours but i occasionally
rub my eyes so that might be why
---> I wish it came in a waterproof formula

Will i repurchase this again?
Seeing that i don't wear this everyday i'm probably going to be taking a year until this product
finishes,
but no i won't purchase this, it does it's job but the product tends to fall on your face throughout
the day
so your left with sparkles on random places of your face.

Thanks for reading! I'm going to post more reviews this week as my exams are coming to an end. Stay tuned then!

Sincerely,

Welcome to my blog ♥

Hi Guys! While I was reading other blogs..I thought why not create a blog myself, seeing that I continuously purchase 80% of beauty stuff online, I might as well review them. How can we start a blog without an introduction? Hi my name is Sonya Le, I am currently a high school student. English isn't a subject I favor so there might be spelling mistakes along the way but i'll try not to let that happen. I came across my girlier side at the start of Freshman year. I started sampling new products that either worked for me or didn't work well as I had hoped. My main component is focusing on reviews, then update hauls from time to time ( I don't usually purchase clothes as much as I do with face products. I hope you enjoy reading my blogs and find it helpful! If you have any feedback's then do comment and tell me, I'd love to get other's opinion. Now that you got to know a little about me let's get started!
